We’ve seen it too many times where our clients haven’t done proper AC maintenance and suffered the consequences. Many of the emergency repair calls we get are due to the homeowner not taking care of their air conditioning system year-round. Sometimes it has gotten to the point where a simple AC repair won’t hold it over for long, and they need to get a new unit installed instead. We hate to see an air conditioner that could still be working just fine get replaced unnecessarily, which is why we offer great maintenance plans to our clients.
AC Maintenance Plan
When you sign up to take advantage of our Discount Club Agreement, you’ll be protecting one of the most appreciated assets in your whole home. We will perform a 19+ point inspection on your home air conditioner annually, which includes a lot of preventative AC maintenance actions.
We’ll clean the air filter, if it’s a washable one, and inspect the indoor coil on your machine if it’s accessible. We will measure the amperage and voltage on your blower motor and ensure it’s at the proper settings for operation. We’ll also test your thermostat for proper operation, then calibrate and level it. We inspect your bearing for wear and lubricate it, and also monitor operating pressures on your refrigerant to make sure all is well.
We’ll also inspect the condenser coil as part of our AC maintenance plan and the condensate drain. Another thing we handle is inspecting the electrical wiring on your air conditioning to ensure it is still safe. Our technicians will also check out the safety devices on your unit to ensure they’re operating properly and your family stays protected. This includes looking at the electrical disconnect box to inspect the wiring connections and ensure it isn’t overheating.
The capacitors also get inspected and tested during each AC maintenance tuneup, as do the contactors for burned or pitted contacts. The service valves will be inspected for proper operation, and the fan blade as well. We will also look into the compressor, the supply/return temperature differential, the circuit boards and the sub cooling and superheating aspects of your equipment.
